About Annie Cook

Filmmaker, director, theatre-maker, workshop host and actor. She is also a director of Warped Productions LTD- theatre & film production company based in Edinburgh. Annie is an experienced workshop facilitator and holds a BA (Hons) in Film & Media from the University of Stirling and a Distinction in Acting & Voice from Trinity London college.

Film upcoming...

Annie is currently directing & co-producing a new screen production called 'Solar Urticaria' dark comedy about a postman and a woman living with a chronic illness to be released in 2022.

Theatre upcoming...

Annie is currently acting in a new play in Edinburgh, May and co-producing two other plays that are currently in pre-production phases in Edinburgh in 2022.

Film & theatre a tale of two worlds... 

Annie has directed and produced promotional films, documentary, educational films, comedy, and various styles in between. Some clients and partners she has worked with have included the Scottish Government, COSLA, Democratic Society, SJM Creative, Edinburgh Acting School, Healthy Post Natal Body, DataLab, and FABB Scotland. She’s directed and interviewed politicians such as Kate Forbes, Cab Sec for Finance and Aileen Campbell, Cab Sec for Communities and Local Government. At the heart of Annie’s work and where her passion lies tends to be centred around people and their stories, she’s strongly interested in stories that pack a punch and could invoke positive societal change.

In terms of theatre, Annie co-produced and acted in two comedy plays Sauce & Hot Sauce in November, 2021 and also worked in immersive improv theatre with Laugh and Let Die. She has previously written, directed, produced and performed in immersive ghost tours and a giant interactive Human-Cluedo production for over 100 people. Annie also set up and piloted a new musical theatre group in Edinburgh called FABB Imagine aimed at young people with additional needs. She directed Draycott Trimm's new script 'Shelf Life' as part of Page2Stage in Edinburgh.
